Application Description

This offline puzzle game for adults offers a challenging collection of rebuses and logic puzzles. These free brain teasers present encrypted words through images, letters, numbers, and symbols, requiring players to decipher their meaning. Originating in 15th-century France (with the first published collection in 1582), these puzzles provide engaging mental exercise. Solve these intricate riddles using paper and pen if needed to track your progress.

Perfect for those who enjoy word puzzles, riddles, and arithmetic challenges, this game tests your logic and problem-solving skills.

Game Features:

  • Logic puzzles designed for adults.
  • Engaging gameplay perfect for travel or downtime, requiring no internet connection.
  • Numerous challenging levels.
  • Multiple hint options to assist with difficult puzzles.
  • A "Puzzle of the Week" for ongoing engagement.
  • Bonus levels to extend the fun.
  • Enjoyable background music (optional).

The game presents a variety of levels demanding the solution of complex logic problems. The gameplay features optional background music and sound effects. Hints are available to help overcome particularly challenging puzzles.

Rules of the Game:

The game follows specific rules for interpreting the rebuses:

  • Items depicted are to be read in the nominative singular.
  • Arrows may indicate specific objects or parts of words.
  • Commas at the beginning of a word indicate letters to omit; commas at the end show letters to remove. The number of commas specifies the number of letters.
  • Letters within other letters are read with "of" (e.g., "a" inside "b" is "a of b").
  • Items placed after another are read with "for" (e.g., "x for y").
  • Items placed above or below another are read with "on," "above," or "under."
  • Letters written next to or on another are read with "by" or "y," respectively.
  • Upside-down objects are read backward.
  • Crossed-out letters indicate removal from a word; a letter above a crossed-out one implies replacement. An equals sign indicates equivalence.
  • Numbers above a rebus (e.g., 5, 4, 2, 3) indicate the order of letter selection from the object's name (5th, 4th, 2nd, 3rd).
  • Objects shown in action (sitting, running, lying) require the addition of the relevant verb in the third person present tense (sits, runs, lies).
  • Musical notes may represent syllables ("fa," "mi," "re," "do").

While seemingly straightforward, the puzzles offer surprising complexity. Sharpen your mind and test your logic and ingenuity!
