The card game "Durak," also known as "Fool" or "Dumb," is one of the most popular and widely played card games in the former Soviet Union. Our high-quality implementation of this game allows you to play "Durak" offline, without an internet connection, using a deck of 24, 36, or 52 cards.

"Durak" comes in two main variants: "Flip Fool" (Durak Podkidnoy) and "Transferable Fool" (Durak Perevodnoy). While the rules of both variants share some similarities, each has its own unique nuances.

The primary goal of the game is to get rid of your cards as quickly as possible. The first player to do so wins the game, while the last player remaining is dubbed the "fool" (durak).

In Flip Fool (Durak Podkidnoy), the classic version of the game, if the attacker has no cards to throw at the defender, the player to the defender's left takes over. This player can initially throw only one card. Once it is beaten, the right to throw returns to the original attacker. If the player to the left of the defender has no cards to throw, the opportunity passes to the next player in a clockwise direction. This allows all players to participate in throwing cards, but in turn, earning the name "Flip Fool" or "Durak Classic."

Transferable Fool (Durak Perevodnoy) adds an exciting twist to the game. Starting from the second move, the defending player can "transfer" a card thrown at them by placing a card of the same rank but a different suit on the table. This shifts the defense to the next player in a clockwise direction, who can also transfer the card to the next player, and so on. This variant is thus called "Transferable Fool."
