HOW TO PLAY

Ludo is a classic dice and race game where each player manages four pieces, striving to get all pieces home before their opponent. Currently, Naija Ludo supports two players, each controlling two houses with a total of eight pieces. The objective is simple yet challenging: move all eight pieces home before your opponent does.

MOVEMENT OF PIECE

The game starts with the player in the red house. To bring a piece out of the house, you need to roll a 6 on the die. Once a piece is on the track, it can move with any die outcome. Pieces travel a path of 56 steps from home to the center of the board. A piece can be removed from the board either by completing the 56 steps or by capturing an opponent's piece.

PIECE CAPTURE

Capturing an opponent's piece is key to winning. If your piece lands on a block occupied by an opponent's piece, you capture it, sending their piece back to its home while removing yours from the board. The strategy lies in capturing as many opponent pieces as possible while avoiding being captured. Note that a piece can't capture an opponent's piece if the remaining die outcome cannot be used.

IMPORTANT NOTE

  1. A player can roll the die twice or more in a row if each roll results in a 6.
  2. You must play the outcome of a die roll before rolling again, regardless of the result.
  3. For a smoother and faster game, enable DIRECT COUNT in the settings.
