6 Cartoon Network Games Have Been Delisted

Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant fan backlash. Without explanation, titles like Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time have been pulled from digital storefronts, including Steam and the Nintendo eShop. This leaves fans unable to legally purchase these beloved games.

At least six games have been affected by this mass delisting, all bearing messages indicating publisher removal without stated reasons. This action is linked to Warner Bros. Discovery's cost-cutting measures, previously seen in the shelving of films and removal of content from streaming services. A similar delisting of Adult Swim games occurred in March 2024, although some titles were spared following public outcry. This time, however, the response has been equally swift and critical.

The recently delisted games, as reported by Wario64 on Twitter, include:

  • Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
  • Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
  • OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
  • Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
  • Steven Universe: Save the Light
  • Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

These titles were removed on December 23rd, 2024, with a brief message on Steam and other platforms announcing their unavailability. Interestingly, some Cartoon Network games, such as Cartoon Network Journeys VR and Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, remain available, as does the OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes soundtrack. Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games have yet to offer a public explanation for this action.

The oldest game affected, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, debuted in April 2014. Other titles were released in 2018 (Steven Universe: Save the Light, OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes) and 2021 (Steven Universe: Unleash the Light). The removal of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, in particular, has angered fans, as it contained the canonical conclusion to the show's fifth season. The lack of warning and explanation surrounding these delistings has fueled considerable negative reaction from the gaming community.
