The Eli Roth-directed adaptation has been met with overwhelmingly negative feedback. Prominent critics haven't held back, with descriptions ranging from "wacko BS" to humor that largely misses the mark. Adding to the film's woes, freelance rigger Robbie Reid recently revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he and the character modeler for Claptrap were not credited. Reid, who has previously received credit for all his film work, expressed disappointment, suggesting the omission might be due to their departure from the studio in 2021. He highlighted the industry's broader issue of overlooking artist credits. While acknowledging the widespread nature of the problem, he expressed hope that the attention drawn to this situation might lead to positive change within the film industry.
