GungHo Entertainment, creators of the crossover card battle game Teppen, have announced their next venture: a retro-style RPG in collaboration with Disney.
Disney Pixel RPG, launching later this year, will feature a vast roster of pixel-art Disney characters for players to recruit and battle. The game promises diverse worlds filled with combat, action, and rhythm-based challenges.
Players can create and customize their own avatars, fighting alongside their favorite Disney characters. Gameplay blends auto-battling with options for direct control during key moments. The narrative centers on battling mysterious programs that have infiltrated the pixelated Disney worlds.
A Retro Revival
This isn't GungHo's first foray into major franchise crossovers. However, given Disney's extensive library, this collaboration offers an unparalleled pool of characters. GungHo's experience managing large casts makes them well-suited for this ambitious project.
