Nightreign Unveils 6th Class: Ironeye

A Deadly Ranged Sniper

Elden Ring: Nightreign has thrilled fans by unveiling a new class, the Ironeye, ahead of its launch in May. This sniper class redefines ranged gameplay, emphasizing swiftness and dexterity. The character trailer highlights its impressive capabilities, showcasing the Ironeye wielding a formidable bow and arrow set-up and executing stunning maneuvers, such as running up walls for mid-air attacks. A new aiming system enhances the class's ability to land headshots, and a dramatic riposte move with a bow and arrow directly to the heart underscores the class's lethal precision.

During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players had the chance to explore four of the eight available classes: the versatile Wylder, the resilient Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the spell-casting Recluse. The Ironeye marks the sixth class to be revealed, with speculation that FromSoftware might unveil the final two classes later this month as Nightreign's release approaches.

The introduction of quality-of-life improvements, like the new aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that these enhancements might also find their way into the original Elden Ring. Such updates could revitalize the appeal of using bows as primary weapons, which have historically been less popular than melee options.

Social media platforms like Reddit have shown that bows were often overlooked in the original Elden Ring due to the dominance of melee combat. However, with the Ironeye class demonstrating the potential power and effectiveness of ranged weaponry, more players might be inspired to adopt a ranged build in Nightreign.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone adventure set in the Elden Ring universe, is set to launch on May 30th, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at a price of $39.99. For more details about the game, be sure to check out Game8's comprehensive article below!
