Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

In the gripping co-operative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear yet challenging: retrieve valuable items and survive amidst a myriad of randomly spawning monsters. Successfully escaping with your loot not only offers a thrilling sense of achievement but also rewards you handsomely. The menacing AI Taxman oversees your efforts, allowing you to exchange your hard-earned cash for essential survival gear at the Service Station.

Securing these valuable items requires you to navigate to the Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T of treasures is evaluated, and your cash is calculated. This process, which might seem daunting at first, becomes more manageable as you advance through levels, facing and overcoming various monstrous adversaries.

How to Extract in *R.E.P.O.*

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. As you progress to new locations, the number of these points can increase, with a maximum of four currently available. Keep an eye on the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen to monitor your progress and remaining drop-offs.

At the start of each level, the Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, providing a familiar starting point for your first haul. Subsequent Extraction Points, however, require more exploration and strategy.

After depositing your initial C.A.R.T.-full, you must continue exploring the level. The Taxman's demands and the location of the next drop-off remain unknown until you reach the vicinity of the next Extraction Point. Utilize your in-game map by pressing "Tab" on your keyboard to uncover unexplored areas and plan your routes effectively. This is particularly useful in co-operative play, allowing your team to spread out and cover more ground simultaneously.

You'll identify the next Extraction Point either visually or through auditory cues. Once located, activate the big red button to assess whether you've collected enough items. If you meet the requirement, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure all items are safely secured; otherwise, they risk destruction.

After completing an Extraction Point, you'll either move on to the next one by repeating the process or attempt to return to your truck unscathed. Importantly, after the final Extraction Point is processed, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will be available at the next location or level.
