Getting Started with Exercise Surging Storm
To join the event:
- Reach Adventure Rank 20.
- Complete the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue.
Begin your journey at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters in Mondstadt.
Gameplay Mechanics: Mastering the Wargames
The event begins with helpful tutorials. Here's a simplified overview:
Before each wargame, select your Combat Units (troops) and Stratagems (buffs/power-ups). Units have various types (AoE Damage, Flying, Ranged, Melee), each with strengths and weaknesses (e.g., Melee counters Ranged).
Analyze your opponent's lineup to strategically adjust yours (bottom-right diagram shows unit effectiveness). Remember, changing your lineup costs Reinforcement Points – use them wisely!
Key Unit Roles:
- Melee: High damage absorption, slow speed.
- Ranged: Long-range attacks, low health.
- AoE DMG: Damages groups of units.
- Flying: Evades ground attacks, immune to certain damage types.
Level up units for increased effectiveness by selecting the same unit for subsequent rounds. Refresh Combat Units and Stratagems for better options. Elemental Reactions work as in the overworld – leverage them for maximum impact.
Winning isn't everything! Earn Wargame Medals regardless of victory or defeat. Winning yields more medals, but consistent participation guarantees rewards, albeit at a slower rate.
