Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor Brings Exciting New Content!

Hearthstone is gearing up for an exhilarating Year of the Raptor in 2025, promising a whirlwind of surprises, innovative gameplay, and exciting new features. Fans can look forward to the customary trio of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons rolling out soon. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has already received a warm welcome, boosting Blizzard's enthusiasm to keep the momentum going. To keep players in the loop, Blizzard has unveiled a roadmap showcasing what's in store for the near future of the game.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most anticipated updates is the significant revamp of the Arena mode. Long in development since the previous year, this update aims to attract a new wave of players while refreshing the experience for veterans. Arena, a staple since Hearthstone's inception, is set to evolve with this update.

Cosmetics are also receiving an upgrade. Players can look forward to new Mythic skins, Signature cards, and the introduction of Pets—a novel feature within the cosmetic system. Although Blizzard has kept some details under wraps, the anticipation is high.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the launch of the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals are slated to start next week, accompanied by in-game festivities. By completing the Event Track, players can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and the exclusive Raptor Herald card.

What Else Is Coming?

Alongside the expansion, a dynamic evolving game board will be introduced, known as the Year of the Raptor board. This board will remain a feature throughout the year, receiving visual and audio enhancements with each new expansion.

Additionally, the Core Set is slated for a refresh. Classic cards are making a return, albeit with some modifications, and new cards are being added to the mix.
