NieR: Automata features a wide array of enemies, each potentially dropping unique upgrade materials for your pod and weapons. While many materials are found naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints an efficient Warped Wire farming location.
Farming Warped Wire in NieR: Automata
Warped Wire is dropped by stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are uncommon, but concentrated in a specific area. Fast travel to the Desert Camp access point and proceed towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain alongside a pipe, passing some ruins. This section reliably spawns multiple stacked machines.
Two small clearings near destroyed buildings are ideal farming spots. All machines in these areas are the stacked variety. Warped Wire has a reasonable drop rate; you'll typically obtain one or two per clearing. Equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates the process.
To expedite farming, utilize these enemy respawn methods:
- Fast Travel: Fast travel to a different location and then return to Desert Camp to instantly respawn all enemies.
- Run Away: Running a significant distance and returning will also respawn enemies, but fast traveling is considerably faster.
Investing in drop rate increase chips is beneficial, as many upgrade materials are machine drops. This farming strategy is applicable to other upgrade material hunts. Movement Speed increase chips also improve travel times between access points, enhancing efficiency for side quests, such as races.
