Pokémon Go is getting ready for Christmas with the Holiday Part 1 event later this month

Get ready for the Pokémon Go Holiday Part One event! From December 17th to 22nd, celebrate the festive season with double XP for catching Pokémon, halved egg hatching distances, and exciting new encounters.

This event introduces a costumed Dedenne (with a shiny chance!), and the first-ever appearance of Shiny Sandygast. Wild Pokémon encounters include Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer a festive lineup: One-star raids feature holiday-themed Pikachu and Psyduck; three-star raids include Glaceon and Cryogonal in festive attire; and Mega Raids star Mega Latias and Mega Latios.

7km Eggs hold the possibility of hatching Hisuian Growlithe or a ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Earn rewards through event-themed Field Research, a $2.00 Timed Research offering themed Pokémon and Premium Battle Passes, and Collection Challenges rewarding Stardust and Poké Balls.
