Rumor: Zenless Zone Zero Leak Reveals Duration of Future Patch Cycles

Zenless Zone Zero: Upcoming Updates and Extended Patch Cycle

New leaks suggest that Zenless Zone Zero's current patch cycle will extend beyond expectations, potentially concluding with Version 1.7 before the launch of Version 2.0. This revelation follows the game's successful first year, marked by consistent content additions and growing popularity, culminating in a McDonald's collaboration.

The recent 1.4 update, while introducing the powerful Hoshimi Miyabi, faced minor setbacks due to reported censorship issues. However, the developers swiftly addressed these concerns, demonstrating their commitment to player satisfaction. Fans are now eagerly anticipating the 1.5 update, which will introduce two highly-anticipated S-Rank units: Astra Yao and Evelyn, alongside a new area, events, and potentially a new skin for Nicole Demara. Leaks suggest Astra Yao will be a valuable support character.

According to reliable leaker Flying Flame, the projected update schedule is as follows:

Projected Update Schedule:

  • Version 1.7, concluding the current cycle.
  • Version 2.0, initiating a new cycle.
  • Version 2.8, concluding the second cycle.
  • Version 3.0, and beyond.

This extended patch cycle, potentially reaching Version 1.7, contrasts with the 1.6 cycle conclusion seen in other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. This suggests a significantly larger content roadmap for Zenless Zone Zero. Furthermore, the same leaker indicates that 31 additional characters are planned for future updates, a substantial addition to the current roster of 26 playable units.

With Version 1.4 expected to conclude in late January, and Version 1.5 on the horizon, players can look forward to a substantial amount of new content in the coming months. The extended patch cycle hints at a long-term commitment to enriching the Zenless Zone Zero experience.
