Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, introduces a thrilling new map: the Sanctum Sanctorum. This iconic location will host the new Doom Match mode, a chaotic free-for-all battle royale for 8-12 players where the top half emerge victorious.
The Sanctum Sanctorum is just one of three maps debuting in Season 1, alongside Midtown and Central Park. Midtown will be the stage for a fresh convoy mission, while Central Park's features remain largely under wraps, slated for a mid-season reveal.
A recent video showcases the Sanctum Sanctorum's unique blend of lavish decor and surreal elements. Expect floating kitchenware, a bizarre refrigerator inhabitant, winding staircases, and magical artifacts – all within the familiar, yet strangely altered, home of Doctor Strange. Even a portrait of Wong and Doctor Strange's ghostly canine companion, Bats, make appearances.
This season's narrative pits the Fantastic Four against Dracula, who serves as the main antagonist. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman join the fight at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving in a substantial mid-season update.
