Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April

By MaxApr 28,2025

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic overhaul that will transform everything from the menus to the battlefield. Players will embark on new adventures through the Dual Nova galaxy, exploring the realms of the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.

This update introduces three new champions to the roster, each bringing unique and game-changing abilities to the fray. Ryze, the Rune Mage, unleashes immense area-of-effect damage and can teleport teammates across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using his Paranoia to plunge enemies into total darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing down foes and even reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage ability now scales over time, making him even more resilient, while his Judgment will shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Minor tweaks are also coming for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh experience for players.

Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from long-awaited item updates, including the new Bandle Fantasy item that adds extra burst damage. Hextech GLP800 will slow enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance will enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also evolving with the start of a new season alongside the launch of the Challenger’s Star. This update includes enhancements to the Ranked store and a more straightforward way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a thrilling new take on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass will offer two spectacular skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate's new look introduces an entirely fresh skinline, adding to the excitement of this update.
