World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!

Get ready for a Timewalking marathon! World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering seven consecutive weeks of Timewalking campaigns until February 24th. This extended event provides players with ample opportunities to earn exciting new rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and enjoy a significant experience boost.

This event, initially launched in September 2023 with a five-week run, returns with even more rewards. Players previously earned the Sandy Shalewing pet by achieving Mastery of Timeways for all five weeks. Now, the stakes are higher.

The seven-week journey begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week features a different Timewalking expansion, offering the usual quests, dungeons, and raids, alongside the returning Mastery of Timeways buff (a 20% experience boost after completing four Timewalking dungeons).

Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule:

  • January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
  • January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
  • January 21-27: Legion
  • January 28-February 3: Classic
  • February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
  • February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
  • February 18-24: Cataclysm

Achieve Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement and claim the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors for each expansion boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously exclusive to the initial Turbulent Timeways event, is now available. The weekly Timewalking dungeon quest reward, the Cache of Nerubian Treasures, will also yield Heroic gear during this event.

Following the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11-week Timewalking run, players will experience a remarkable 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking adventures.

The Turbulent Timeways event's conclusion date hints at future World of Warcraft plans. With the final Timewalking campaign ending February 24th, and considering Blizzard's typical eight-week release cycle and the recent holiday season, February 25th is the likely release date for World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. This, combined with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th-February 17th) and the upcoming major content update for The War Within, promises an action-packed start to 2025 for World of Warcraft players.
