Phase 10 Rules:
A phase is a combination of cards (sets, runs, same-color cards, or a mix). There are ten phases to complete in order.
- Dealing: The dealer distributes 10 cards face down to each player.
- Phase Completion: Phases must be completed sequentially (1-10). A player must hold the entire phase before laying it down. Additional cards beyond the minimum requirements can be added if they directly extend an existing phase. Only one phase per turn is allowed. Failure to complete a phase requires retrying it on the next turn. Completing a phase earns credit, regardless of winning the hand.
- Going Out: After completing a phase, discard remaining cards.
- Card Draw/Discard: Always draw one card at the start of your turn and discard one at the end.
- Scoring: At the end of a round, calculate the total value of remaining cards: 5 points for cards 1-9, 10 points for cards 10-12, 15 for a Skip, and 25 for a Wild. The lowest score wins.
- Winning the Game: If only one player reaches Phase 10 and completes it, they win. If multiple players complete phases simultaneously, the player with the lowest score after completing Phase 10 wins. Ties result in a replay of Phase 10.
