Taiko-san Daijiro

It is an application designed to play the tja files of "Taiko-san Jiro 2", allowing you to enjoy the PC software experience on your mobile device.

We understand that with the vast array of Android devices available, it's impossible to test every model. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide support for devices that fail to start the application.

Please note that we do not provide assistance on obtaining TJA files or skins. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

How to Add a Song

When you first launch the application, a "TJA" folder will be automatically created in the root directory of your device's storage or SD card.

To add a song, create a genre folder within the "TJA" folder and place your TJA file inside it. If a genre.ini file is not present in the genre folder, the genre will default to "Uncategorized".

For Android 4.4 and later versions, if you encounter issues with saving high scores, please be aware that this functionality may not be supported.

We have added a "record location" option in the settings menu. Please select the appropriate package to suit your needs.

How to Add a Skin

The skins used in this application are compatible with those from "Taiko Sanjiro 2", although some features may not be fully implemented. Note that skins from the original "Taiko-san Jiro" are not supported.

To use a skin, read the theme-default/default.csv file. Be aware that performance may vary depending on your device and the complexity of the skin data.

Contents of genre.ini

For a folder to be recognized as a genre folder, it must contain a genre.ini file with the following contents:

• Due to recent Android security enhancements, the application can no longer access folders outside of the app-specific directories. If you have updated the app, please use a file management application to copy the default folder "/TJA" to "Android/data/com.daijiro.taiko2/files/TJA".
