Mastering the skill of reading is crucial, especially during the preschool and early elementary years. It lays the foundation for academic success and is vital for future endeavors in both school and adult life. Given that today's children are digital natives, we can leverage their affinity for computers and tablets to enhance or reinforce what they learn in school.

Method

Our "Learn to Read Spanish with Phonics" program is tailored for children aged 3 to 6 or 7, and even adults seeking to improve their pronunciation. The method is structured into a section for tracing letters and 30 lessons, starting with vowels and progressing through consonants and digraphs such as L, M, S, T, P, N, D, F, H, C, Q, CH, G, GUE, R, -rr-, B, V, J, GE, GUE, Y, Z, CE, LL, X, K.

Each lesson includes 11 engaging games, available at two difficulty levels. This is perfect for parents and teachers aiming to help children practice their initial syllables and words in Spanish. Encourage the child to listen and tackle the exercises; understanding everything isn't necessary.

Remember, learning to read is a gradual process that may take over a year. We suggest practicing for a few minutes daily and revisiting previously learned material. Adapting the exercises' type and level to keep the learning experience fun and game-like is crucial.

Levels

All games offer two difficulty levels, which can be adjusted at any time. Children can progress at their own pace, pause, and resume later. As they complete games, they earn fruits as rewards.

The first level is suitable for three-year-olds, and sometimes even younger children with parental or educator assistance. These games can be solved with the help of the instructions. The second level is more challenging, encouraging children to solve them independently while keeping the learning process enjoyable.

As parents or guardians, it's important to match the difficulty to the child's abilities without pressuring them to rush through or complete levels prematurely.

On the home screen, users can:

• Enable or disable background music
• Choose to play in full screen

In the Tikis menus, additional options include:

• Changing the font to uppercase, lowercase, or cursive handwriting
• Enabling or disabling automatic activity, which shifts to another game after a set number of exercises
• Shuffling the syllables for variety

Achievements

The program allows the creation of up to three profiles (avatars) for different children. Each profile tracks progress at various levels, showing correct and incorrect answers and the overall progress represented as fruits. These fruits serve as a fun motivator for continued play. When collected, children can give them to little aliens by clicking on the basket.

NEW THE ALPHABET: Children can listen and learn to write each letter of the alphabet, syllables, and some words in different modes: trace, copy, and free mode. They can choose between three types of letters: uppercase, lowercase, and handwriting.

Each lesson features 11 games:

1. DOLPHIN: Introduces the word and its components.
2. BALLOONS: Identifies the letters in the syllable.
3. CLOUDS: Traces the shape of each syllable.
4. CRABS: Forms syllables from letters.
5. BUTTERFLIES: Identifies syllables.
6. BEES: Identifies the initial syllable of words.
7. SNAKE: Constructs words using syllables.
8. MONKEYS: Forms words from letters.
9. PARROTS: Recognizes and reads words.
10. MOUSE: Orders words and reads sentences.
11. SNAILS: Constructs sentences from words.
