Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077 lore expert and decision-maker for the Fortnite crossover, offered a straightforward explanation. The bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left no space for both male and female versions of V. Opting for the female V was a logical choice, given Johnny's male persona, and also a personal preference for Mills.
