Fortnite players eagerly awaited the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 items, a highly anticipated crossover event. While the collaboration proved popular, the absence of the male version of protagonist V left some fans puzzled. Speculation ran rampant, analyzing CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies. Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077 lore expert and decision-maker for the Fortnite crossover, offered a straightforward explanation. The bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left no space for both male and female versions of V. Opting for the female V was a logical choice, given Johnny's male persona, and also a personal preference for Mills.

Therefore, no grand conspiracy was at play; simply a practical decision. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin appearance, following the earlier inclusion of John Wick.
