War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air battles has officially launched! Gaijin Entertainment delivers intense aerial combat with this update, featuring over 100 aircraft from three nations—with more to come.
While the game previously included aircraft for naval and ground support, this open beta introduces a complete aerial tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.
Dive into the Air Battles Open Beta!
Currently, the beta includes planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, showcasing iconic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. More nations will be added soon.
Players can focus on one nation's tech tree or explore multiple. Top-tier aircraft can be acquired via blueprints earned in in-game events, starting in early October.
The open beta unlocks the new Aviation campaign, allowing access to the aircraft hangar for research, upgrades, and crew management. Squadrons of four planes can be formed, customized with various armaments. See the action in the trailer below!
Understanding the Gameplay --------------------------The aircraft hangar serves as your central hub. Manage your vehicles, customize camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to your squad.
Each aircraft slot offers three options: vehicle swapping, armament modification, and crew upgrades. Squadrons can be built using any aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.
